When I was a kid I saw a word challenge in Scientific American. The idea is to start with the word "CIRCLE" and place it in a grid in both horizontal and vertical positions. Then find 5 other words to complete the square. Each word must fit both horizontally and vertically.

I finsihed it and mailed it in. I was one of hundreds who completed the puzzle. There are several answers that work. But, the only answer here that will work is the one I figured out years ago.
